Economic Advisory Council - A Shameless Act of Desperation

"Barbadians are now expected to forget the last nine years. The last-minute rush to form a think tank comes more than two years after the suggestion by the Opposition Leader." - Clyde Mascoll (What Matters Most)

And may we add...This is the fullest admission we are going to get from PM Stuart and his band of incompetents, that they have failed Barbadians. For all the promises of Sinckler and supposed 'outspokenness' of you know who, that they have called on the man they pilloried, knowingly accusing him of all kinds of falsehoods, is a shameless act of desperation. It is an act that insults the intelligence of Barbadians. It is an act to be repudiated by all Barbadians. Lipstick on a pig still leaves us with a pig.

These are the same people who rejected out of hand Mia Mottley's recommendation 2 years ago for a Council of Eminent Persons to advise government on the way forward for a revived economy. There are the same people who clearly stated then that Mr. Arthur was not and did not have any magic wand which would allow him to turnaround our ailing economy. Theirs was a position born of sheer arrogance and defiance. This to the detriment of our people and our accustomed way of life.

There is now nothing, absolutely nothing, which this band of incompetents can do to persuade us that they are up to the task of restoring confidence among Barbadians and rebuilding our economy. In fact, the revamping of The Council of Economic Advisors reinforces the plea of Barbadians, Enough Is Enough.
